Education And Training

Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to educate engineers who know the principles of basic and applied sciences to pursue intensive technological developments in the field of engineering, to understand the problems faced by the industry, to seek and to bring solutions by synthesis technologies related to mechanical engineering (dynamics, control systems, machine elements, fluid mechanics, heat transition, thermodynamics, materials, strength, CAD/CAM).
For the fulfillment of the above objectives as well as part of the engineering studies, scientific activities have focused on two areas. The first area national, while the second area is international activities. Domestic activities constitute the basis for organizing the work that can be done in partnership with industry.
In overseas activities, a number of bilateral ERASMUS agreements have recently been signed with the Mechanical Engineering departments of European universities. The cooperation opportunities allowing exchange of learning and research experience carry a great deal of importance in reaching for state-of-the-art technology.

Bachelors of Science Degree Education: To be one of those departments educating most wanted Mechanical Engineers

Masters of Science Degree Education: To be one of those departments training Mechanical Engineers who are experts in the field generating knowledge at international and national levels and considering the needs of the industry

Doctorate Degree Education: To be one of those departments training Mechanical Engineers who are capable of doing advanced scientific research, who can take part in international and national research projects, who can work and produce original work and finally who can transfer that knowledge to the followers.

Bachelors of Science Degree Education: to train Mechanical Engineers having strong scientific knowledge and problem solving skills, responsible to society’s and environmental needs, who can follow the latest technological developments, and who can primarily provide solutions to Turkey’s technological needs.

To conduct theoretical and applied engineering research at the international level, to encourage production and planning of the information taking into consideration the benefits of the society.

Masters of Science Degree Education: To train the engineers and scientists specialized in theoretical and/or applied engineering issues in the field of Mechanical Engineering, responding the needs of universities and industrial organizations, following all the recent technological developments and innovations.

Doctorate Degree Education: To train scientists in the field of Mechanical Engineering, who can produce original work bringing innovations in science, understanding the consciousness of lifelong learning and teaching, and responding to the needs of both academic institutions and industrial organizations.
